USE OF RACHEL P. KENISTON COMMUNITY ROOM
- The open space on the lower level of the library building is at this time designated as a meeting room, and shall be referred to as the Rachel P. Keniston Community Room.
- This room is available without charge to non-profit organizations of the Town of Plymouth, regardless of political, religious, or other affiliation. It may also be made available to educational, civic, or cultural groups not based within the Town of Plymouth.
- The room shall not be used for private parties, or commercial solicitation.
- If admission fees are charged, there will be a $25 user fee.
- Library activities and events have priority on use of the room.
- Reservations shall be made with a Librarian in advance of use.
- The Library shall accept reservations for a series of meetings that would designate the Library as the regular meeting place for an organization only with the understanding that the organization's use of the room may occasionally be superseded by other needs. Such series reservations shall be made at the discretion of the Director.
- Any organization using the Library meeting room when the Library is not open to the public shall make specific arrangements with a Librarian in advance for permission and arrangement for closing/locking the Library. A custodial fee may be issued.
- No smoking or alcoholic beverages shall be allowed on Library premises.
- Groups using the room are responsible for any damage inflicted on the room or on Library contents.
- Groups using the Library shall sign the Community Room Request for Use form, which will remain on file at the Library.
- Permission to use the room does not constitute an endorsement of the group's philosophy or objectives by the Library. A Group may not imply in its publicity that the Library has sponsored or supported its meeting or group, unless prior written permission is given by the Director or the Board of Trustees.
- By order of the Plymouth Fire Department, seating capacity may not exceed 99 persons.
